Microsoft Inspire 2023 Key Highlights

Microsoft Inspire 2023 had been one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the year. With Microsoft’s continuous push for AI-infused products, it was always going to be the focus of the show. Satya Nadella, Microsoft chairman and CEO lead with this as he said “We are in the midst of a massive platform shift with the new generation of AI.”

Azure Migrate and Modernise

  • Microsoft has made significant improvements to the Azure Migrate and Modernise tool for cloud migration. This enhanced tool specifically caters to partners assisting customers in their journey from on-premises environments to Azure. By accessing Azure Migrate through the Azure portal, partners can seamlessly discover the customer’s data centre inventory. The tool comes equipped with assessment features that aid in creating a well-defined migration path. Additionally, it assists organizations in building a robust business case for their cloud migration needs.

Power Automate Process Mining

  • Power Automate Process Mining powered by cutting-edge AI, will change how businesses comprehend their organisational dynamics. By harnessing this technology, companies gain unparalleled process insights, streamline operations with out-of-the-box recommendations, and drive continuous improvements through automation and low-code apps. The Power Automate Process Mining is set to be generally available from August 1, 2023

Bing Chat for Enterprise

  • Bing Chat Enterprise is a secure and AI-powered chat for work, ensuring commercial data remains safeguarded. This comes after the original release of Bing Chat in February, but concerns were raised about companies data not being protected.
  • The preview rollout is currently underway for organisations licensed under Microsoft 365 E5, E3, Business Standard, and Business Premium. There is no additional cost during the preview phase. In the future, Bing Chat Enterprise will also be available as a stand-alone subscription for $5 per user per month.

Microsoft 365 Copilot Pricing

  • We may still be waiting for the general availability of Microsoft 365 Copilot to be announced, details on the pricing have finally been released. Microsoft will be charging $30 per user per month for those with licences for Microsoft Business Standard, Business Premium, E3, and E5. UK pricing is yet to be announced.
