Primus Telecommunications identified a business improvement requirement to develop an Intranet site which would aid collaboration and assist in closing the communications gap between global locations. A key project driver is the ability to do internal discussions and blogs online.
Our solution is based on configuring, developing and training in Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) 3.0.
Primus provided Adepteq with a virtual server, which was used to create the SharePoint environment.
All work was carried out by Adepteq’s Microsoft Certified staff and has provided Primus with:
- A populated Intranet home page with announcements and management Blogs
- A Project / Team environment for sharing information and communication
- A template for Team Sites was created and used to create sites for the key departments within Primus
- An understanding of administration and permissions
- Achieved by videoconference for IT staff in both UK and India
- The knowledge and capability to be able to change the sites if required and to add content of a similar nature to the site
- Achieved by videoconference for IT staff in both UK and India
Following an intial trial period supported by Adepteq this solution will be rolled out globally to all Primus staff.
