Coffee Nation identified a business improvement requirement to take ownership of its existing line of business administration applications (Asset Management, Data Warehousing, Invoicing and Business Reporting) and upgrade to an environment based on the latest Microsoft technologies. Providing a more robust, easy to maintain and support, reliable solution allowing for cost effective future development.
Following Adepteq's engagement to carry out due diligence of the existing solutions and environment, Adepteq provided a series of recommendations and were selected as Coffee Nation's software development partner.
Our solution was based on upgrading the existing nonsupported SQL Server 2000 backend to a supported SQL Server 2008 backend incorporating SQL Server database engine, SQL Server analysis services and SQL Server Reporting Services then upgrading the application code from redundant VB6 code to C# .Net. Recommendations for the upgrade of the solution also include documentation of the Asset Management, Data Warehouse and Invoicing Tool applications and replacing the existing BizTalk data capture process.
This development provides the basis for further enhancement and development of other line of business systems within Coffee Nation to ensure they offer the best possible support to their customers and consumers.
