Adepteq have been chosen by King Edward VI School (KES), Southampton to assist the internal IT team with the installation, deployment and configuration of SharePoint within the school.
KES has identified the business improvement requirement for a document management system. It was agreed at a meeting between KES and Adepteq that the installation and customisation of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 could be a quickly implemented, cost effective solution. This solution could then be developed by KES as the requirements grew.
Adepteq were then engaged to provide the following assistance:
- Initial specification of user hardware and software requirements
- Installation and configuration of MOSS at KES
- User training on SharePoint Management
- SharePoint Workshops at KES to capture user requirements for document storage within SharePoint and create site
- Develop suitable template(s) for creating additional sites
- User training at KES to cover all aspects of creating and maintaining document management sites
Adepteq would work closely with the IT team at KES and then with the key staff with responsibilities for document management to ensure the project is successfully implemented and then adopted by users.
