Aylesbury College had identified the need to improve the current reporting procedures and reduce the time required to create the reports. QlikView had been identified as the product to deliver this project, with the initial phase being to provide a graphical dashboard of current KPI’s which can be analysed by Governors and the SMT.
Following a rigorous selection process, involving demonstrations, proposals and presentations, Adepteq were chosen by Aylesbury College to provide a Business Intelligence (BI) solution based on QlikView.
The solution was based on installing and configuring QlikView Small Business Server and configuring client machines to access the environment (using Document CAL's). Data was then pulled from all the required source databases (such as Attendance, Facilities Utilisation, Timetabling, Enrolements, Funding Streams, Course Information (completion / success) and even the Barrier Entrance system). A QlikView document was built using this data and used to provide dashboard views of data and drill down to detail. Adepteq also ensured full associative search was available within these documents. All the work was carried out at Aylesbury College to ensure knowledge transfer to members of the MIS team who will be maintaining the document.
The college is seeing exceptional ROI, with a good example being the attendance report, which previously took an hour and a half to manually produce every morning. With QlikView this report is always available and automatically updates every hour which frees up an additional day of productivity from the MIS team every week.
Moving forward, the college is now purchasing further document licences and is expanding the solution to include data from the HR and Premises departments.
Aylesbury College have agreed to be a Further Education case study for Adepteq & QlikView. Please Contact Us or call 0844 9988088 for more information.
